Chisinau, Jan 2 /MOLDPRES/- In 2025, Moldovan entrepreneurs will benefit from a number of important changes that will simplify work and reduce unnecessary costs. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba made the statement in an exclusive interview with MOLDPRES.
"We are introducing mandatory country of origin indication for unpackaged food products. In this way we are encouraging the purchase of products made in Moldova. Sometimes you buy without knowing clearly that there are local, quality alternatives," Alaiba explained.
Another change concerns the extension of the validity of the sanitary license from 1 to 3 years. At the same time, the procedure for closing a business will be simpler and faster, with the deadline reduced from 3 working days to 24 hours.
According to the official, in 2025, restrictions on wholesale trade will be lifted, allowing this type of trade in premises smaller than 400 m², which will reduce rent and maintenance costs. This will help small businesses to grow and develop, he says.
At the same time, shareholders in joint-stock companies will be able to sign documents online, hold meetings online and vote electronically. This will save them time and money by avoiding the expense of notary services and physical travel for handwritten signatures.
Alaiba also said that the authorities have decided to standardize the licensing rules for village pharmacies, regardless of whether they are subsidized by the state or not. "Thus, we will encourage the opening of more pharmacies in rural areas, giving residents easier access to medicines and health services," he said.
The changes have been provided for in the 7th package on de-bureaucratization of the business environment, recently approved by the Parliament.
Dumitru Alaiba noted that the authorities will soon come up with other initiatives that will further simplify the work of Moldovan entrepreneurs. "We are committed to providing real support to those who want to develop sustainable and competitive businesses," he said.
