Around 3.3 million citizens registered in state voter registry

Chisinau, Jan. 2 /MOLDPRES/ - About 3.3 million citizens are registered in the State Voter Registry as of January 2. Central Electoral Commission (CEC) unveiled the data.

Of the total number of voters - 2,738,114 citizens eligible to vote are assigned by administrative-territorial units of level II.

The difference includes people who have Moldovan citizenship, but have no registered domicile or residence, including those who have emigrated abroad - 285,115 people and citizens eligible to vote with registered domicile in administrative-territorial units on the left bank of the Dniester River, provisionally outside the sovereign control of the constitutional authorities of the Republic of Moldova - 275,512 people.

According to CEC data, the most voters are in Chisinau municipality - 648,024, Balti municipality - 97,274 and Cahul district - 97,085. At the same time, the fewest voters are in Basarabeasca district - 23,355, Dubasari district - 28,362 and Soldanesti district - 30,919 people.
