Political parties obliged to submit financial management reports by 15 January

Chisinau, Jan 3 /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced today that the deadline for submission of reports on the financial management of political parties for the second semester of 2024 is January 15.

According to the CEC, the report is submitted in electronic format through the Financial Control SSI. Parties receiving allocations from the state budget also submit the report to the Court of Accounts.

The document is to be signed by the leader and the treasurer of the political party. Both are responsible for the correctness of the data and information submitted, as well as for their non-submission. If the financial management report is signed by the person acting as interim leader of the political party, he or she shall submit the confirmation to the Public Service Agency.

The CEC warns that failure or late submission of the financial management report by political parties within the deadline and in the format established by law, including the submission of incomplete data is a violation of the legal provisions and is liable to liability according to the law.
