Moldovan Commission for Emergency Situations approves measures to supply citizens from Security Zone with electricity, natural gas

Chisinau, 6 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) has approved a string of measures necessary for ensuring the continuity and reliability of the supply with electric energy and natural gas of the consumers from more settlements of the Security Zone, which are under the control of the constitutional authorities, but which are connected to the energy infrastructure of the enterprises from the left bank of Dniester, the government’s communication department has reported.     

Thus, the Varnita village, Anenii Noi district and the Copanca village, Causeni district, which are presently technologically connected to the electricity networks of the left bank of Dniester, will be connected to the power distribution networks of the state capital enterprise Premier Energy Distribution stock company. Operators are to submit, during five working days after the CSE decision’s adoption, an additional draft on amendment of the plans on development and investments, with the covering of the aforementioned investment goals. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) will approve the proposals during three working days after their submission.           

At the same time, the villages of Pohrebea, Cosnita, Parata, Dorotcaia, Molovata Noua, Roghi, Cocieri, Corjova and Vasilievca, Dubasari district, the villages Harbovat and Copanca, Causeni district, will be connected to the natural gas networks of the licenced distribution operators of the Moldova gas stock company’s group. They will submit, during five working days after the adoption of the CSE’s decision, a draft to this end and subsequently, ANRE will approve the proposals during three working days.    

„These works should have been made in the last 30 years; yet, now, it is our duty to intervene as quickly as possible. We must bring this infrastructure to these villages, but we should be aware of the fact that we might have difficulties at their connection. Yet, it is our duty to do our utmost, in order to provide our people from these villages with electric energy and natural gas,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.    

Also, the National Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) will deliver electric generators, in order to ensure the work of the Romanita kindergarten, Varnita Theoretical Lyceum, Asclepio multifunctional community centre and the headquarters of the Varnita village mayoralty, Anenii Noi district, as well as to ensure the work of the Garofita kindergarten and crèche, as well as the system of supply with water of the Cocieri settlement, Dubasari district.         

According to the CSE’s instruction, in order to ensure the continuity of the work of the public institutions and services from the settlements Varnita and Cocieri, a sum of 233,000 lei will be allocated from the government’s intervention fund for the purchasing of material assets. Thus, the Varnita village council will receive 152,000 lei, to buy 12 tons of pellets and over 4,000 litres of diesel for generators. The sum of 81,000 lei will be provided to the Cocieri commune council for the purchasing of two electric boilers and almost 3.7 thousands litres of diesel.    

The instruction also sees that the Infantry Battalion No 1 of the Peacekeeping Forces from the Cocieri commune will carry, for free, diesel to the boiler house of Placement Centre for Elderly and Disabled People and from the settlement.
