Chisinau, 7 January /MOLDPRES/ - The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) on 6 January delivered seven electric generators to the Anenii Noi and Dubasari districts. The action was carried out following a decision by the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) from 6 January, this year.

According to IGSU, rescuers carried three electric generators to the Cocieri settlement, Dubasari district, where they will ensure the work of the settlement’s supply with water, as well as the Garofita kindergarten and crèche.

Also, another four devices were delivered to the Varnita settlement, Anenii Noi district, in order to ensure the work of the Romanita kindergarten, Varnita Theoretical Lyceum, Varnita village Mayoralty, as well as the Asclepio multifunctional community centre.

The Commission for Emergency Situations on 6 January approved a string of measures necessary, in order to ensure the continuity and reliability of the supply with electric energy and natural gas of the consumers from more settlements of the Security Zone, which are under the control of the constitutional authorities, but are connected to the energy infrastructure of enterprises from the left bank of Dniester.

As of 1 January 2025, the Russian gas has no longer been transiting Ukraine. Thus, the Russian giant Gazprom no longer delivers natural gas to Moldova, thus infringing its contractual provisions. The Russian gas was used on the left bank of Dniester, including for the production of electric energy at the Kuchurgan power station.
