Chisinau, Jan. 10 /MOLDPRES/- The information on the situation in the energy sector, presented by the Government Crisis Cell, shows full coverage of electricity consumption for January 9-10 for the right bank. The activation of breakdown contracts and/or unintended flows is not necessary, the government's communication department has reported.

For January 9, electricity consumption was ensured from the following sources:

Electricity import (RO) - 51.62%
Termoelectrica - 29,69 %
Renewable energy - 14,03 %
CET-Nord - 3,96 %
NHE Costești - 0,70 %.

According to Moldelectrica data, the peak of electricity consumption was recorded between 17:00 and 19:00, with a maximum of 829 MW.

For January 10, Energocom announced that it has reserved the commercial capacity at the border with Romania to cover 100% of the electricity consumption needs. At the same time, the company announced yesterday the signing of a contract for the purchase of electricity for an amount of 30 MW band (24/24) with OMV Petrom Romania, valid from January 10-31. The contract with OMV will reduce the amount of electricity purchased on the electricity exchange, which is characterized by volatility.

Consumption needs for January 11 will also be covered in full without the need to activate the emergency contracts. Energocom has reserved commercial capacity at the border with Romania in order to cover 100% of the electricity consumption needs.

Hourly disconnections continue in the Transnistrian region. On January 7, 8 and 9, disconnections were 8 hours a day, and 5 hours of disconnections are scheduled for today. The current consumption of the Transnistrian region is provided by the MGRES/ Cuciurgan power plant and Dubasari hydropower plant, which do not produce enough electricity.

The fan-out schedule also includes the villages of Copanca and Varnița, controlled by the constitutional authorities. The settlements in the security zone are being helped by the Chisinau authorities to cope with the energy crisis caused by the Russian Federation.

According to the decision of the Commission for Emergency Situations of January 6, the village of Varnița, Anenii Noi district, and the village of Copanca, Causeni district, are to be connected to the electricity distribution networks of Premier Energy Distribution. At the same time, the government has already provided humanitarian aid, including fuel and generators, to support the inhabitants affected by the power cuts. At the same time, 14 localities will be integrated into the natural gas distribution networks of the licensed operators of Moldovagaz.
