PHOTO Elderly center in Straseni modernized with US support

Chisinau, Jan 10 /MOLDPRES/- New Year brought good news for the community of Straseni, where, thanks to the partnership between local public authorities and USAID program My Community, the beneficiaries of Neoumanist Elderly Center enjoy better services.

The center was endowed with modern goods and equipment worth 408 thousand lei.

USAID, through My Community Program provides support to partner municipalities for the implementation of projects that aim to improve the quality of services provided to citizens and the standard of living of communities.

My Community is USAID's program, implemented by IREX, in the area of local governance and aims to support local public authorities to become more effective, transparent and accountable to citizens, as well as to provide technical assistance and training to municipal staff to meet citizens' needs.
