Chisinau, 10 January /MOLDPRES/ - The headmasters of schools and kindergartens will be able to make the reportings and fill in the documents necessary through the Management in Education Information System (SIME) and more compulsory documents for reporting in early education institutions will be eliminated. The measures are contained in the second package of measures for de-bureaucratization in the education system, elaborated by the Education and Research Ministry (MEC). It will be launched in 2025.

Another important aspect of this set of measures is the working out of about 8,750 teaching projects for the school disciplines at the primary, gymnasium and lyceum levels.

„Less time for papers means more time for children. i.e. for training the teaching staff for classes, for interaction with pupils. This approach continues the initiative launched by the Education and Research Ministry in 2024, which led to the elimination of the compulsoriness of reporting for tens of documents. These measures are meant to reduce the administrative burden of the teachers and school managers, allowing them to focus more on the education process and on the development of pupils’ skills,’’ Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun said.

The first package of de-bureaucratization measures in the education system was launched by MEC in the last year. The package provided for the establishment of a moratorium on external controls in schools and kindergartens and the suspension of the process of external evaluation carried out by the National Agency for Ensuring the Quality in Education and Research (ANACEC) for general education.

At the same time, MEC removed the compulsoriness of reporting of the use of the compensation for teaching materials. The teachers must no longer report the use of the compensation of 4,000 lei for teaching materials.

To back the teachers in their professional work, the Education and Research Ministry elaborated 447 long-term teaching projects and 8,750 daily teaching projects for school disciplines.

About 1,200 schools work in Moldova. Most of the institutions are of the gymnasium level.
