Strengthening Moldovan-American relations discussed in Chisinau

Chisinau, Jan 13 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi met with James O'Brien, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.

The two officials discussed the prospect of deepening bilateral relations at the level of Strategic Partnership, the preliminary actions for the next meeting of the Strategic Dialogue Republic of Moldova - United States of America and the opening of consulates in Chicago and Sacramento.

The Moldovan official thanked for the assistance provided by the United States of America, in particular for the support directed towards strengthening Moldova's energy resilience and interconnection projects with the European energy system.

The officials also discussed the regional context and the support provided by the United States of America for strengthening democratic institutions and supporting the reforms necessary for Moldova's European path.
