Chisinau, Jan. 14 /MOLDPRES/- On 14 January, the electricity consumption on the right bank of the Dniester is fully covered, without the need to activate the breakdown contracts. Energocom, together with the Romanian and Moldovan transmission system operators, Transelectrica and Moldelectrica, identified solutions to fully cover the deficit of 484 MWh, which is estimated for today, the government's communication department has reported.

At the same time, it is essential to use electricity rationally during the peak hours of 07:00-11:00 and 18:00-23:00, and to postpone energy consumption for off-peak hours.

As for 13 January, the consumption on the right bank of the Dniester River was fully ensured, being covered under commercial contracts, without the need to activate the blackout contracts. Details of the energy sources are as follows:

Electricity import (RO) - 56.01%

Termoelectrica - 29,38%

Renewable energy - 9.23%

CET-Nord - 4.34%
NHE Costești - 1.04%

Consumption on January 13 was about 20% higher than on the previous day. Peak consumption was recorded between 17:00 and 20:00, with a maximum consumption of 948 MW.

In the Transnistrian region, since January 10, scheduled power cuts of 5 hours take place once a day. Disconnections are also being carried out in the villages of Copanca, Corjova and Varnița. Government is providing support to affected residents. More than 80% of the electricity for the left bank is produced by MGRES/ Cuciurgan power plant. Dubasari hydropower plant produces 12.43%, while 0.42% of the available electricity comes from the technological flow.

In the thermal energy sector on the right bank, all generation sources are in operation and there are no risks. Also in the natural gas sector, the pressures in all segments of the transportation system managed by Vestmoldtransgaz Ltd. are within the functional parameters.
