Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - The so-called Tiraspol leader, Vadim Krasnoselsky, left for Moldova from the Chisinau International Airport in late last week. President Maia Sandu has confirmed the information at the end of the Supreme Security Council.
The Moldovan president noted that she had learned about this visit and that the latter had been allowed, in order to prove that there were no hindrances on behalf of Chisinau in finding a solution to the energy crisis. ‘’I know about Krasnoselsky’s visit to Moscow. This is an extra proof that Chisinau is not a hindrance in the identification of a solution. We want the people on the left bank of Dniester to as soon as possible have electricity, heating, water. And if this visit settles the problem, let it be,’’ Maia Sandu opined.
The head of state reiterated that both the cabinet of ministers and the Ukrainian neighbours had come up with solutions to help the left bank; yet, all of them were rejected. ‘’The Russian gas is not for free; Moldova pays a quite high price. I repeat: we will allow the Russian gas reach the Transnistrian region, as we want this crisis to end as soon as possible,’’ the Moldovan president said.
According to the local media, Vadim Krasnoselsky was in Moscow on 10 January.
