The dialogue was focused on a string of current subjects dealing with the Transnistria-related issues, as well as on the need to ensure a sustainability of the dialogue within the sectoral working groups and the 1+1 format of talks, in order to solve the present problems.

Among the topics of discussions, there were aspects dealing with the work of the points of registration of transport means (PIMP) from the Rabnita and Tiraspol cities and the process of implementation of the protocol decision from 24 April 2018, organizing the interaction in the telecommunication sector, work of the Latin-script schools from the Transnistrian region, developments on the file of farmlands from the eastern Dubasari district, situation dealing with the import of medicines to Moldova’s eastern districts, procedures concerning the evacuation of radioactive waste and installations from the region, requirements as to ensuring the protection of personal data, etc.

Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic informed that Chisinau had proposed the holding on 18 March of a new meeting of the working groups for the development of the motor transport and roads’ infrastructure, in order to analyze the dynamic and situation concerning the documentation and registration of vehicles with neutral numbers for six months of PIMT’s activity. Lesnic stressed that she was further relying on the support of the OSCE Mission, in order to give the final touches to the technical expertise and restore the bridge between the villages Gura Bacului and Bacioc, as well as to solve pressing problems faced by the residents from both banks of Dniester.

At the same time, the Moldovan deputy prime minister reiterated regret about Tiraspol’s recent provocative actions (the signing of the so-called acts regarding Varnita village and settlements of the Dubasari district, placed on the left bank of Dniester, opening of the “representation” in Moscow). Cristina Lesnic repeatedly expressed the message saying that the Moldovan side relies on the cancellation of the so-called documents from 19 October 2018 and 25 January 2019, clearing up of the status of the alleged representation of Tiraspol, giving up unilateral measures which harm the fundamental rights of citizens and on the getting of the dialogue back to normal. She voiced hope that the OSCE Mission would have a productive contribution to this end.
