Exhibition on Europe Day opened at National Library

Chisinau, May 8 /MOLDPRES/ - On Europe Day, the National Library opened today the anniversary exhibition - 30 years of Moldova's path towards the European Union.

The exhibition contains publications, information and audiovisual material covering the entire path of the Republic of Moldova from the first official step towards the European Union (EU-Moldova Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, 1994) until today, when EU leaders decided to open accession negotiations with the Republic of Moldova.

The event was attended by Jānis Mažeiks, EU Ambassador to Moldova, Andrei Chistol, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, representative of the European Integration Office, people of culture and art.

Jānis Mažeiks said that the exhibition is a nice opening of the Europe Day events that will take place during May.

Andrei Chistol said that the exhibition includes a whole list of documents from the collections of the National Library.

The exhibition will be open until 31 May.
