Moldovan PM has meeting with prime minister of Baden-Württemberg Land of Germany

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today had a meeting with PM of the Baden-Württemberg Land of Germany Winfried Kretschmann. The officials exchanged opinions and visions on opportunities of improving the Moldovan-German cooperation in diverse sectors, the government’s communication department has reported.
PM Dorin Recean thanked for the support provided by the German side, which is particularly important, in the present regional context and in the process of the country’s advancement on the European integration way.
For his part, Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann stressed that Germany would continue supporting the process of transformation carried out by the Moldovan authorities.
„For us, the desideratum to accompany Moldova on its European integration way is quite important and close to the soul and we will provide assistance adapted to your needs,’’ the official said, referring to the backing which Germany had provided to Romania in the process of accession to the European Union.
In the context, the interlocutors touched upon the work of the bilateral joint commissions, which can boost the cooperation between the two states, in the fields of economy, research, civil society.
In the long run, the sides want a close cooperation in the energy sector, including the renewable one and taking over the modern German technologies for the development of the sector. Also, the agriculture and a uniform development of all Moldova’s regions will be supported. Joint declarations of intent were signed for fostering the collaboration on these two segments in Chisinau today.
PM Dorin Recean said that more German companies were already present on Moldova’s market and the investors who extend in Moldova enjoy a more and more comfortable environment for work.
In the end of the discussion, the officials emphasized the efforts of combating the misinformation, which is essential against the background of Russia’s hybrid war.
