Chisinau, 29 October /MOLDPRES/ - We are facing a clear-cut choice. Either Moldova elects a candidate who supports a vector of development anchored in stability or we will be again part of East-West geopolitical schemes, intermittent battles, about which we have learned during time. The spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda, has made statements to this effect. He said that the Moldovans deserved to choose their future freely, without theft, without thieves.
Daniel Voda urged the citizens to participate in the runoff of the presidential elections due on 3 November. ‘’We must save Moldova and our lifestyle, defend it from frauds and crime rings, which try, through money and platforms from abroad, to influence the free vote of the citizens. What can we do till and at the runoff election? Massively mobilize and not sell our votes. Publicly support the police officers who document cases of fraud and the honest prosecutors who investigate them,’’ Daniel Voda at a TV programme.
The spokesman for the government urged the citizens to call the 112 Service and report about the people who buy or sell votes. ‘’We should be united. The control centre is not here, but abroad. It is there where the cunning person is, why try to carry this evil work through. We must not allow this. We should be a fortress. We can carry out this through unity, by defending our vote, defending our country and saving Moldova, as it is our home,’’ Daniel Voda said.
He stressed that the presidential elections were about solutions for people, not about promises.
The runoff of the presidential elections will be held in Moldova on 3 November. The current Moldovan president, Maia Sandu, who grabbed 42.49 per cent of the votes or 656,852 suffrages in the first round of the polls and the Socialists’ candidate, Alexandr Stoianoglo, who picked up 25.95 per cent of the votes or 401,215 ballots, will fight in the runoff election.
