Chisinau, 29 October /MOLDPRES/ - The candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) for the Moldovan president’s office, Maia Sandu, today conveyed a message to the citizens who had voted for Renato Usatii in the first round of the presidential elections. ‘’Let us join the forces and not allow the returning to power of a regime which fights with dirty means. For our votes to be observed, for the votes of the Moldovans to decide the country’s fate, not the dirty money,’’ Maia Sandu said.
The PAS candidate thanked the citizens for participation in the ballot on 20 October. ‘’Dear citizens who voted for Renato Usatii, thank you for having gone to vote and believed in the power of the vote. Unfortunately, the theft of votes affected us everybody. It affected you too. If votes were not stolen, today possibly Renato Usatii would have been my counter-candidate. When crime rings come to power, the vote no longer matters. I fight namely for any candidate who enjoys people’s confidence to be able to participate in the elections and to win, if the people decide so,’’ Maia Sandu also said.
The candidate for the Moldovan president’s position noted that it was quite important that namely ‘’the vote of the Moldovans decide the country’s fate, not the dirty money.’’ ‘’Dear supporters of Renato Usatii, I know that you are discontented with the governance, with the fact that we did not manage to clean and consolidate the justice system. I understand your anger, but now let us join the efforts and not allow the return to power of a regime which fights with dirty means. For our votes to be observed, for the votes of the Moldovans to decide the country’s fate, not the dirty money,’’ Maia Sandu said.
