Moldovan president on 18 November to organize consultations with political parties on justice reform subject, fighting corruption

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 18 November will organize consultations with the political parties on the subject of justice reform and fight against corruption. The head of the Office of the Moldovan president, Adrian Balutel, today made statements to this effect.
„We inform you that President Maia Sandu will organize consultations with the political parties on the subject of justice reform and fighting corruption on Monday, 18 November, following requests by more representatives of political parties to postpone the discussion for the next Monday,’’ Adrian Balutel said.
Maia Sandu said that, on 11 November, she had summoned the Supreme Security Council to a meeting. The participants in the event discussed the issue of the political corruption and the need to speed up and optimize the measures of combating it. After the meeting, the head of state asked for the shortening of the term of consideration of the political corruption files and the government and parliament are to come up with a concrete plan, in order to ensure the priority examination of these causes.
At the same time, Maia Sandu informed that she would invite to public consultations representatives of the political parties, as well as representatives of other categories of the civil society, in order to have discussions on the actions needed to be undertaken to combat the political corruption.
