Soviet energy regulations repealed by energy ministry

Chisinau, Nov 15 /MOLDPRES/- Soviet normative-technical documents in the state energy supervision have been repealed by the Energy Ministry through an order published in the Official Journal. The decision comes after the national regulatory framework was drafted and approved.
The Ministry of Energy announced that the normative-technical documents were previously implemented in the Republic of Moldova in a period when there were no nationally approved normative acts. At present, there are normative-technical documents, which establish binding rules for system operators and end consumers, elaborated and approved by the National Agency for Energy Regulation.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the newly drafted and approved normative-technical documents lay down safety rules for the operation of electrical installations and rules for the operation of power plants and power grids.
