Over 27 per cent from seven Moldovan settlements were local elections are held vote till 15:00

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 7,043 electors today voted at the new polls held in those seven settlements till 15:00, which accounted for 27 per cent of all voters registered in the lists.
According to the Central Electoral Commission, the voting process unfolds without incidents and the polling stations will close at 21:00.
The settlements with the highest voter turnout are Arionesti, Donduseni district and Clocusna, Ocnita district, where a rate of 41.61 per cent and respectively, 36.11 per cent, was recorded.
Under the provisions of the Electoral Code, the elections are regarded as valid, if at least one fourth of the people registered in the electoral lists participated in the voting.
Today, the residents of the Causeni city, Iliciovca commune, northern Floresti district, Boscana commune, central Criuleni district, Arionesti village, northern Donduseni district, Antonesti commune, southern Cantemir district, Clocusna village, northern Ocnita district and of the Popestii de Jos village, northern Drochia district, elect their mayors.
Thirty eight candidates were registered for the new local elections. Twenty eight of them were nominated by political parties and another 10 ones run as independents.
