Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi has come up with a message, thereby condemning the violation of Moldova’s air space by Russia’s missiles and drones.
„We firmly condemn the violation of Moldova’s air space by Russia’s missiles and drones targeted against the critical infrastructure of Ukraine. The explosions nearby our borders and the noticing of drones flying at low height above villages highlight the risks to which our citizens are exposed because of Russia’s brutal war,’’ Popsoi wrote on the X platform.
President Maia Sandu also condemned Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
„I firmly condemn the massive air attacks of Russia on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. The use of winter as weapon, in order to make a nation freeze in obedience is a cruel and unacceptable action. Moldova is with Ukraine,’’ Maia Sandu wrote.
Today morning and last night, the capital of Ukraine and other Ukrainian cities were shaken by explosions, in the wake of a massive attack with missiles. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Russian army had used about 120 missiles and 90 drones in this attack.
The drones today morning were seen also by residents from Moldova’s northern districts. Subsequently, the competent authorities informed that the flying apparatus had been launched deliberately at a low height, in order not to be able to be detected by Defence Ministry’s radars.
