Spokesman for government says over two thirds Moldova's exports go to EU

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/ - Over two thirds of Moldova’s exports, worth more than 1.74 billion dollars in the first nine months of this year, go to the European Union’s market. The spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda, today unveiled information to this effect.
„The European Union stays the engine of the Moldovan trade, backing the economic stability and the country’s development. Over 66 per cent of the exported goods reach the European countries and the share is continuously increasing. On the period January-September, the turning to account of the exports on the EU market exceeded the figure of 1.74 billion dollars,’’ the spokesman for the government noted.
Daniel Voda made a top 10 of the destinations of the Moldovan goods, based on data provided by the National Statistics Bureau. Thus, the biggest share of the native products are exported to Romania - 32.2 per cent, Ukraine – 9.3%, Italy – 7%, Czech Republic – 5.6%, Turkey – 5.6%, Germany – 5.1%, Poland – 4.4%, Russia– 3.6%, United States – 2.6% and Bulgaria – 2.4%.
At the same time, Daniel Voda said that the Customs Service in the first ten months of this year accumulated 31.31 billion lei o the state budget, which accounts for 83 per cent of the annual budgetary burden. The revenues grew by 10 per cent against the year before. The revenues were collected especially from the value added tax and excise duties, ‘’backed by an efficient administration and well-oriented economic policies.’’
