Deputy PM says accession to EU next great opportunity for Moldova's entrepreneurs

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - The accession to EU is the next great opportunity for the entrepreneurs from Moldova. We have ahead a period of three-four years, during which we should work together, in order to get where our place is – in the great family of the European Union. Deputy PM, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Dumitru Alaiba has made statements to this effect at Business with Ministry – Meet EU – an event which represents an open dialogue platform between the ministry’s leadership and representatives of the business environment from Moldova.     

The event was held in the context of the process of the country’s European integration and brought together business leaders, public authorities and international experts, in order to discuss challenges and opportunities of this process for the business environment.

„We are not the first to cover this road. Other countries have already managed to do this and now they are in safety; the business breaths easily, develop and they look into future with confidence. Therefore, on our behalf, we continue to promote courageous reforms which are to get us closer to EU; at the same time, we rely also on the mobilization of the business environment,’’ Dumitru Alaiba said during discussions with representatives of over 50 companies from Moldova who attended the event.    

The European Union is the principal commercial partner of Moldova. Presently, over 65 percent of the country’s exports go to EU.
