Moldovan president has phone conversation with Polish PM

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, before the taking over by Poland of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the presidential pres service has reported.
The discussions were focused on Moldova’s priorities for speeding up the process of accession to the European Union, including the opening of the groups according to chapters of negotiations, advancement of the disbursement of funds from the Growth Plan for Moldova, removing of the quotas for the some agricultural products and full abolition of the roaming taxes between Moldova and EU.
Also, Moldova’s accession to the Singe Euro Payments Area (SEPA) stays an important goal, facilitating the financial transactions and backing of the business environment. These measures will bring concrete benefits to the citizens, through enhanced economic opportunities, lower transfer costs and a closer integration into the European economic market.
The two leaders also tackled subjects on the bilateral relations, economic growth, Polish support for Moldova’s development and aspects dealing with the regional security. Poland stays a reliable partner of Moldova on its European integration way and in the consolidation of the stability in the region.
