48 farmers applied for grants of up to 10 thousand dollars for modern tillage equipment

Chisinau, Jan 2 /MOLDPRES/- A total of 48 agricultural producers have applied for grants of up to $10,000 under the sustainable land management program, part of the Moldova Agriculture Competitiveness Project (MAC-P).
The applications were submitted between November 4 and December 31, 2024.
The program provides for the offering of post-investment grants reimbursing 30% of the eligible investment value, with a ceiling of $10,000 per agricultural producer. Each beneficiary is eligible for only one grant under the program.
Grants are awarded to compensate for the costs of agricultural machinery, equipment or machinery for conservative tillage technologies (No-Till / Strip-Till); to compensate for the costs of implementing soil protection and improvement measures (sustainable land management practices); and to compensate for the costs of irrigation equipment and systems.
MAC-P was launched in 2012. Its main objective is to increase the competitiveness of Moldova's agri-food sector by supporting the modernization of the food safety management system, providing farmers with financial resources for infrastructure development.
